About Tony's Colonial Online Store:
Tony's Colonial has been providing discriminating shoppers with
the finest Imported and Domestic Italian foods since 1952.
Situated in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood of Providence,
Rhode Island, Tony's is known for its quality meats and cheeses,
extensive selection of imported olive oils and vinegars, gourmet
pasta products, antipasti, and other specialties like imported porcini
mushrooms, Italian candies and confections, and a daily array of
fresh prepared foods.
Tony's Colonial regular store hours are:
Monday - Thursday 8:30AM to 6:00PM
Friday 8:00AM to 6:30PM
Saturday 8:00AM to 6:00PM
Sunday 8:00AM to 5:00PM

How to Shop Tony's Colonial Online Store:
At Tony's we always strive to provide the very best products and
services to our customers, and our on-line store is no exception.
With many of our products now available on-line you can tell friends
and relatives about us and even ship products all over the country
as birthday and holiday gifts.
Our site is set up with five major categories: Meats & Cheeses;
Oils & Vinegars; Specialties; Pasta; and Antipasti.
Meats & Cheeses, Oils & Vinegars, and Pasta are very easy to figure
out, and we have many of our best selling imported and domestic
products available on-line. The Specialties and Antipasti categories
include many different kinds of products and will change as the
seasons change. If you don't see something you want contact us by
e-mail or phone and we will do our very best to get you what you
need.
To order any product on the site key in the quantity you want,
and then click the Add To Basket button. Some products come in fixed
or package weights, while others are bulk and you will need to choose
the amount/weight you want. Examine your basket before you check
out and be sure it has the products, quantities, and pricing you
chose. See the section on Ordering by Weight for more information.

very closely represent the products we ship. In some cases the product
images shown on the site have been enhanced for the web and the
color match and packaging of the actual product you receive and
the web image will not be identical.
Internet Pricing:
With the volatile fluctuation of the dollar and the Euro, pricing on the Tony's Colonial website may change without notice. We will always try to update web pricing to reflect these changes as they occur.
Ordering By Weight:
Whole Piece, Chunk, or Sliced:
Many of our products come to us in large bulk packages. A wheel
of Imported Reggiano Parmigiano usually weighs in at about 80
to 90 pounds. Most of our other meats and cheeses also come to
us in large bulk packages. When you order a 5 pound piece of Imported
Reggiano Parmigiano we cut it fresh right off a full wheel.
Most times we can cut you a piece that is close to 5 pounds, but
rarely will it be exactly 5 pounds. Because of this we will charge
you for the exact weight of your shipment, which will be within
4 ounces of your requested quantity. Example: If you order 5 pounds
of Imported Reggiano Parmigiano we will ship you a piece that
weighs anywhere from 4 3/4 to 5 1/4 pounds.
We can slice some of the products listed in our online store
too. Others can only be shipped as whole pieces, or as a custom
cut chunk. Each product has a drop down menu which will allow
you to choose what you want depending on availability. Example:
Mortadella can be purchased as a whole piece, a custom cut chunk,
or sliced. Plain Mozzarella on the other hand can only be purchased
as a whole piece. The drop down menus under the product image
and name will contain the available options for each product.
Shipping Information:
Perishables (PCH):
Perishables must be shipped Next Day UPS. Shipping charges will
be by weight per the carriers rates. Insurance for orders over
$100.00 is mandatory and will be added to the shipping charges
for all orders. There is also a small handling charge for all
orders: Less than $100.00 = $3.00; $100.00 to $250.00 = $5.00;
$250.00 to $500.00 = $8.00; 500.00 to $750.00 = $10.00; 750.00
to $1000.00 = $15.00; Over $1000 (Let's Talk).
Non-Perishables (NON):
Non-Perishables will be shipped UPS Ground per the UPS Rate
and Zone Chart. Please expect your order to arrive in three to
five business days, or a little longer on the West Coast. There
is a small handling charge for all orders: Less than $100.00 =
$3.00; $100.00 to $250.00 = $5.00; $250.00 to $500.00 = $8.00;
500.00 to $750.00 = $10.00; 750.00 to $1000.00 = $15.00; Over
$1000 (Let's Talk).
Orders with both perishables and non-perishables can be shipped
as two separate orders or together depending on the weight each
part. We will calculate the lowest cost shipping method for your
order.
Example: If you order twenty (20) pounds of non-perishables and
five (5) pounds of perishables we will send the 20 pounds of non-perishables
UPS Ground and the 5 pounds of perishables overnight. If the order
was 20 lbs perishable and 5 pounds non-perishable then we would
probably ship the whole order overnight. We will calculate the
lowest cost shipping method for your particular order. As you
become familiar with our on-line store we would also recommend
sending us two separate orders; one for perishables and one for
non-perishables.
Credit Card Purchases:
You can easily use your Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, or AMEX)
on our site securely. Because of the weight and shipping variables,
we will use the following method to secure an authorization from
your Credit Card company. Using the quantities for the products
you ordered, we will add the final shipping costs to your invoice.
We will then e-mail you the amended invoice which will include your
shipping charges, and we will charge your card for that exact amount.
You will only be charged for what we actually ship.
For those of you concerned about credit card security issues, you
may also print your order and fax or mail it to us for processing.

Order Numbers:
Each time you shop Tony's Colonial On-line Store you are identified
as a unique shopper. As you look at products and "Add Them
To Your Basket" your order is being attached to that unique
random number. If you decide part way through the process that you
don't want to make a purchase at that time and you travel to another
web site your order is not recorded. But if you do complete your
selections and "Check Out" and either print out your order
for faxing or submit your Credit Card information for immediate
payment, it is then that the "Check Out" system generates
an Order Number for your order. The Order Number is a six character
alphanumeric number with three numbers followed by three letters.
This Order Number appears with our thank you message on-line immediately
after you Submit the Order, and it will follow your order through
delivery to your designated shipping address. Write this order number
down.
Your Order Number will also appear on our Confirmation e-mail to
you when we contact you again with your order list and final shipping
charges. Print this e-mail. It is your record of what you will receive
when the order arrives. Your delivery will also include a final
invoice which should match the confirmation e-mail.
Use your Order Number to identify your order if you should call
us with any changes or adjustments to your order.
Cancelling an Order:
To cancel an order your will need to contact us by phone or e-mail.
Send us your order number and personal information (not your Credit
Card Number) and we will cancel the order.
Substitutes:
Bulk Meats & Cheeses:
Because we deal with many different import companies and suppliers
and because of the very nature of the fresh products we carry,
we cannot guarantee, for example, that the Imported Sharp Provolone
you purchase in September will be the exact same product you get
when you order from us in December. The quality will be the same
but the brand may be different.
Branded Products:
Branded or trademarked products will not be substituted with
another product.
